Water for All coming together for Ukraine
In March 2022, the global network of Water for All organizations joined forces with the Peter Wallenberg Water for All Foundation to support Ukraine. Water for All organizations in more than 20 countries in Europe, Asia, and North America came together, either donating from existing funds or through dedicated fundraisers at the local level.
During the spring of 2022, the need on the ground in Ukraine and the surrounding countries were huge and our partner ADRA supported the situation in many different ways. Most of our funds went to water, sanitation, and hygiene, but also to provide e.g. food, shelter, and warm blankets.
Inside Ukraine ADRA offered internal refuges shelter and transport and they sent humanitarian convoys into the country with emergency supplies. In the bordering countries ADRA supported refugees with housing, medical assistance, psychosocial support, hygiene items, food and similar.
